Garcia lays down the gauntlet

PRESIDENT Alan Garcia challenged the mining industry to make Peru the most important mining country in the world, as he opened the Cerro Lindo operation of Compañia Minero Milpo at the end of July. But he faces some significant hurdles in the path of the vision he obviously has for mining in the poor country.
