Regal hires African hands
17th Aug 2012
AUG 17 – Australian explorer Regal Resources has strengthened its African expertise following its acquisition of 13 tenements in the Democratic Republic of Congo with the appointments of new MD/CEO David Young and non-exec technical director Dr Simon Dorling.
Young has previously headed DRC-focused companies Tiger Resources and First African Gold and a 30-year track record of significant gold and mineral discoveries in West Africa, Australia and Asia. He replaces Angus Edgar, who steps down as MD but will remain with Regal as an executive director. Dorling has provided consultant technical support and project management services to companies focusing for the last six years on copper and cobalt projects particularly in the DRC.
