DGR ‘retains faith’ in Orbis Gold’s Burkina strategy

10th Aug 2012

Aug 10 – Investment house DGR Global says its sale of 5M shares in Orbis Gold does not represent a loss of faith in the Australian explorer’s new strategy of focusing on the Birimian Gold Province in Burkina Faso.

DGR says the sale of about a 3% Orbis shareholding was arranged to provide working capital for its future investments in early stage gold, base metals and coking coal projects.

The company says it remains fully supportive of the Burkina Faso strategy of Orbis Gold (formerly Mt Isa Metals) and intends to retain its remaining 45M shares (27.6%) for the foreseeable future.

DGR also holds 33.2M shares (9.6%) in Solomon Gold, 59.8M shares (41%) in AusNiCo and 27M shares (29%) in Navaho Gold.
