Coal mine accident kills worker

AUG 8 – A 46-year-old miner has died in an accident about 1100m underground in the Paskov coal mine in the Czech Republic. The mine is owned by OKD as, a subsidiary of leading Central European hard coal and coke producer New World Resources.
Investigations are under way into the accident, which had no impact on production.
