MST takes Berlin

Australian-based Mine Site Technologies has opened a new Europe office in Berlin, Germany.
LEADING mine communications technology firm Mine Site Technologies has opened a new office in Berlin to support its strategic expansion in Europe.
The Australian-based company has got offices and service support centres on six continents. Its new office in Germany was “centrally located to support MST’s existing European customers and provide a foothold location for continued expansion throughout Europe, Russia, and other CIS countries”, the company said.
MST has previously been active in Europe through independent representatives and distributors, and says the partnerships will continue. It has also signed new cooperation agreements with Promtex in Moscow and ‘Research and Production Company - Complex Automated Systems’, in Tomsk, Russia.
MST general manager international, Mike Foletti said the Berlin office opening and recent appointment of Igor Korolev as the company’s new vice president - ERCA (Europe, Russia, Central Asia), underlined its commitment to the region.
“We have recently installed new ImPact communications and tracking systems in both Norway and Turkey which further demonstrates the global mining industry’s continued investment in our solutions and technologies,” Foletti said.
Foletti said MST’s operational footprint continued to expand in North America, South America, Africa, and Asia, with demand for the ImPact wireless mining communications system “quickly pulling the company into new international markets”.
