Thompson Creek checks wall slip damage
21st May 2012
DENVER, May 21 – Thompson Creek Metals is studying any impacts on production and cost guidance following a wall slough at its Thompson Creek molybdenum mine in Idaho, USA.
Thompson Creek says no injuries or equipment damage were caused by the collapse, believed to have resulted from water pressure behind the wall due to seasonal run-off. Management believes the event will not have a material impact on the current mine plan.
