New board for African Eagle
27th Apr 2012
JOHANNESBURG, Apr 26 – Developer African Eagle Resources chairman Euan Worthington, founder-MD Mark Parker and director Chris Davies resigned following Tuesday’s AGM in what the company describes as a step in the transition from diversified junior explorer to nickel miner. Geoffrey Cooper resigned earlier.
Now on the board are interim chairman Chris Pointon, non-executive directors Don Newport and Julian McIntyre, CEO Trevor Moss and finance director Andrew Robertson.
Parker remains part-time for continuity and to supervise the spin-out of remaining non-nickel exploration assets while pursuing his mineral exploration interests as director of Equator Gold and Andiamo Exploration. Davies is expected to remain involved with the spin out of African Eagle`s Zambian copper assets.
The bankable feasibility study of the Dutwa nickel project in Tanzania is due around the end of 2012.
