Wildhorse to offload Sweetwater
17th Apr 2012
LONDON, Apr 17 – Uranium and coal gasification company Wildhorse Energy is to sell its Sweetwater uranium project in Wyoming USA for $US1.4M to an unnamed major mining company.
The buyer also has the option to purchase Wildhorse’s Bison Basin uranium project in Wyoming for $100,000.
Wildhorse says the assets are non-core as it focuses on becoming a leading supplier of fuel to power stations in central and eastern Europe. The sale proceeds will progress the primary Mecsek Hills underground coal gasification project in Hungary.
The company is also working towards forming a joint venture with Hungarian state-owned entities to re-start uranium mining at the Pécs uranium licence, part of the Mecsek Hills uranium project.
