Bibiani gold pour

PERTH, Apr 2 – A 20-month revitalisation and refurbishment program has culminated for Noble Mineral Resources in the first gold pour at the Bibiani gold project in Ghana’s Sefwi-Bibiani Gold Belt.
Since it received government approval for the purchase of the Bibiani project in July 2010, Noble has conducted extensive drilling to upgrade resources and refurbished the idle plant with metallurgical upgrades to increase capacity from 2.7Mtpa to 3Mtpa.
The first gold pour came during wet commissioning of the gold room. Managing director Wayne Norris says the start of production and cashflow will position the company to take full advantage of opportunities for growth.
Noble will release further resource updates for Bibiani in the next quarter.
