NRE longwall start date pinned

SYDNEY, Feb 27 – Gujarat NRE Coking Coal aims to begin longwall coal production at the NRE No 1 Colliery in the Southern Coalfields of New South Wales, Australia on March 13.
Following a successful trial of the longwall equipment on the surface, the equipment is now being installed underground with commissioning due to begin on Monday, March 5.
NRE No 1 will join the company’s second Australian mine, Wongawilli, to begin longwall operations.
