Discovery drops AIM
31st Jan 2012
BRISBANE, Jan 31 – Australian copper hopeful Discovery Metals has cancelled its registration on the London Stock Exchange’s AIM board, blaming low trading volumes and the level of costs.
After more than 4-1/2 years on the AIM, the company says it has just 100 depositary interest holders in the UK. Several UK and European-based shareholders, including three of the top five, choose to be on the Australian shareholder register.
The cancellation will take effect at the start of AIM trade on March 30. Discovery will continue its listing on the Australian Securities Exchange and Botswana Stock Exchange, where the company is nearing production at its Boseto copper project.
